Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth join
"High-Stakes Poker"

Joining the ranks of poker TV shows this week is GSN's
"High-Stakes Poker". The show is set to air for at least
13 weeks each Monday at 9pm. Instead of focusing on big
live tournaments like the WSOP or WPT events, this show
has a unique concept: show high-stakes cash games.
The show airs a private Las Vegas cash game that
features a $100,000 buy-in. We usually hear Doyle
Brunson and Barry Greenstein's names in conjunction with
the biggest cash games in the world and indeed they are
two of the expected participants. Other names include
Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Ted Forrest, Johnny
Chan, Jennifer Harman, and wealthy businessman Jerry
Buss.
It's nice to see a new poker show with a refreshing
concept instead of the same-old ho-hum of big
tournaments. It should be interesting to see the playing
style in such a huge ring game and we'll keep you posted
with our opinions after we watch the show ourselves...
